Stern Pinball, in partnership with Lionsgate, has launched a new range of pinball machines inspired by the intense world of John Wick. The machines allow players to step into the shoes of the notorious killer as he tries to escape his turbulent past. The game area is decorated with models and illustrations depicting iconic locations from the franchise, such as New York's Continental Hotel and the Red Circle Club, all set against the silhouette of the New York skyline (thanks to convolux!!!).
Players can also open John Wick's weapon box to reveal a hidden shooting path and access a diverse arsenal. They must survive attacks from other assassins, complete missions for legendary factions of the High Table and finally complete John Wick's "Special Mission".
Technological innovation: dynamic artificial intelligence combat system
To enhance the gaming experience, Stern Pinball introduces a brand new dynamic AI combat system that replicates the intensity of battles seen in the movies. This system controls the enemy lights on the playing field, making enemy icons react to player behaviour and dynamically light up to challenge enemies. Thanks to this software, enemies move tactically, creating a unique challenge in every game. In addition, a new action video screen reflects the player's actions: when three enemies are eliminated, excerpts from films in which John Wick performs similar actions are played.
The immersion is enhanced by the narration of actor Ian McShane as Winston and the original soundtrack composed by Charlie Benante, famous for his collaborations with Anthrax and Pantera.
The limited edition models even include, courtesy of Lionsgate, fragments of the iconic John Wick costumes used during the making of the films.
